PRESS RELEASE

8th November 2010

Stockton No Strings Badminton ready to hold court with fun, friendly No Strings Badminton sessions.

Queen’s Campus Sports Centre are all set to provide a fun, friendly alternative to the traditional forms of fitness across Stockton with the launch all new No Strings Badminton sessions from 19th October.

No Strings Badminton is a fresh, new initiative that makes it simple and extremely sociable for more people to welcome the benefits of badminton back into their lives, grab a racket and head out for a spot of convenient on court action.  The sessions that have run already are a huge success, with over 40 people signed up to No Strings Badminton, you can be sure of a good time down at Queen’s Campus.

The beauty of No Strings Badminton is its simplicity.  There are no membership fees, no contracts or hidden clauses to tie you down.

These sessions, hosted at Queen’s Campus Sports Centre, Thornaby on Tees, open up ‘pay and play’ opportunities for any adult of any age or any ability to turn up and have fun on their own terms.

Rachel Frobisher, Regional Officer for BADMINTON England at Stockton No Strings told us “The whole point of No Strings Badminton is that you’ll get to meet other like minded people on court, have fun whilst getting fitter and improve your playing skills whether you come alone or rally around your friends”.

With a co-ordinator hosting every session at Queen’s Campus Sport’s Centre there’s a guaranteed playing partner on hand each week and you can also join the No Strings Badminton social circle at www.nostringsbadminton.co.uk, which will serve up prizes and promotions as an incentive to get involved.

Frobisher added “With no need to book in advance and with equipment provided, No Strings Badminton is making it as flexible and affordable for Stockton’s population to get active and back on court at times that fit their busy schedules”.

Stockton No Strings are running regular No Strings badminton sessions at Queen’s Campus Sports Centre on Tuesday’s between 5pm and 7pm.  Check out the website www.nostringsbadminton.co.uk for more venues and details in the local area.
