REGIONAL TEAM now in place – October 2009
In recent months
BADMINTON England have been working on the restructuring of the Development
Network.
As of mid September 2009,
the BDO role has ceased and the new role of Regional Officers has commenced.
The Regional Officers
will be focused on delivering the Community Badminton Networks, liaising with
County Badminton Associations and driving programmes such as Club Accreditation
and the Centre Parcs National Schools Championships.
The Yorkshire and North
East regions have been merged under one Regional Manager, in order that
BADMINTON England can increase their investment in the new Regional Officers.

The RO is keen to hear
from any organisation that plays badminton, no matter what the standard of play
is. In order to update and maintain an effective development plan for Tees
Valley, we need to know what schools (all levels, in curriculum hours and out
of school hours), colleges, sports clubs, community clubs and youth clubs are
playing badminton.
